1997 Alden 56 Flybridge Express. T/CAT 3196

This is a lovely, traditional, classic yacht that recaptures the style and elegance of the grand old commuters with brass, chrome and elbow-deep varnished woodwork, a tumblehome transom, all combined in a sleek fast package. The exquisite teak interior is a wonderful example of understated elegance with it's raised panel doors and hand-fit ash hardwood overheads, diamond tufted leather upholstery, and custom carved rolled arm settees in the saloon, all of which combine to create a warm and rich feeling. She is a very comfortable two stateroom / two head cruising vessel with a fully outfitted lower helm and an air conditioned flybridge upper helm with hardtop and enclosure, top of the line equipment including updated CAT 3196E engines, wide sidedecks for easy access, a large teak cockpit for entertaining and a swim platform with ladder. The Owner reports that with her C. Raymond Hunt designed hull form, long waterline length and relatively low center of gravity, she has a remarkably comfortable ride, even in a seaway at speed. Originally built by Alden Yachts by an owner with an "open checkbook", and little regard to cost. To reproduce her today would be in the 3 million dollar plus range! This is one of the nicest Alden yachts available with possibly the nicest interior joinery of any Alden yacht ever built. She appears to have been properly maintained since new and now needs very little to bring her into "Bristol Condition".

There was a complete hull paint job in September 2009. The new hull color is Awlgrip "Carinthia Blue". At that time the bottom was soda blasted, barrier coated and painted with an ablative antifouling paint, green in color.

NOTE !! Smaller high quality Trawler or Express style trades will be considered.

2004 Chesapeake Custom Deadrise - Shed Kept & Like New. S/Cummins Diamond Series 370 HP, 551 Hours.

This beautiful Chesapeake Bay Style yacht was custom built for personal use, to a very expensive standard, with high-end yacht fit and finish and all of the best equipment available. The Owner reports that the hull was built by Carman Boatbuilders to United States Coast Guard specifications for commercial passenger carrying vessels. This is the perfect day boat/family yacht or great Chesapeake or ICW cruiser for a couple with it's Island Berth single stateroom. The availabilty of this beautiful yacht represents a great opportunity at an very fair price, considering that to reproduce it, with the same fit, finish and equipment, the estimated cost would be in the $750,000 to $850,000 range, and this can be easily verified by several builders of this style of vessel.

The owner will consider trading down in size for a smaller "high quality" vessel - either power or sail!

Stored under cover in North East Maryland, and easy to see anytime in any weather!
